A book written by a human essentially serves as a connection to the author's deepest emotions and reasoning, woven into a complex web of thoughts and ideas. In contrast, AI-generated books, whether fully created by AI or with some AI assistance, diminish this core human connection to the author's inner world.

No human translation = no capturing of emotional nuances. The loss of cultural insight, and price dumping is another factor. And these are not the only threats, however, I am tired of thinking about AI, thus exhaustion is another threat.

There are 1000s of AI-generated language textbooks. Therefore, I created a list of over 5,700 reference books for over 300 languages. I own most of these books, but for those I don't, I have reviewed a full digital copy to make sure they are not 100% AI generated by someone who does not speak the language:

Exploitation by malevolent forces to promote embedded political agendas. Just as some political leaders try to control the news media, so the forces behind them can use mass fiction as a medium to influence the public via hidden messages.
Getting human writers to produce stuff like that can be difficult, but with AI there's no problem.

I hear what others are saying about connecting with the author's deeper feelings, nuance, communication, and all that—and as an author of fiction myself I would never question the value of it—but let's face it, the vast majority of what people actually read is nothing like as serious as that (I mean cheap thrills and romance on airport book stands, and so on) and books authored by AI can easily compete in that arena.
Serious fiction is safe for the time being, but the pulp stuff can already be mimicked effectively by AI. ▲ Collapse

You make much more products, much more apps and softwares, you publish more. You produce more than people need, saturating the market beyond consumer demand, your products lose value, potentially dropping to zero. You produce, no one pays.
What an era of abundance and wealth.

I think one of the main particularities of human creativity is subjectivity, which is shaped by our emotions, cultural background, experiences, and perceptions.

We are social beings and one of language's functions is to make one’s mind accessible to others. We seek to connect with another subjectivity rather than simply looking for the most probable sequences of words, as AI does.
