... it depends on the quality of the machine-translated text, an option which is not in the poll.
Sometimes it's really good, and it does save time. Others, it's a complete mess and it slows you down because of the amount of errors you have to fix, keeping consistency in mind. In this case, it's better if the client sends a document to be translated from scratch.
