These days, with all the challenges the translation industry is facing, who can make any plans? I am at the end of my career and I’ll just keep going and adapting to the new circumstances, that is to say trying to be both resilient and flexible…

I've been in the industry for 25 years. I'm going full AI and bought my own local AI-infrastructure. To be honest, it's terrifyingly good. Don't know what the future holds for us...

If AI infrastructure is that readily available for all to buy, then what future is there for human translation?

No one will send you work b/c they will have their own AI-infrastructure.
