Bio

By the time I was six years old, I could speak and write in three languages. I grew up in a large family where Kalenjin, Kiswahili and English are spoken interchangeably. I have always enjoyed and excelled in the languages throughout my schooling and as a young girl, I knew that I would end up in a language related career.

I have a degree in Communication and Public Relations and I have previously held full-time positions in media monitoring, marketing, communication and human resources.

I started working as a full-time translator in 2018 for a VOD streaming service. My main duty was to create, edit and translate English and Swahili subtitles for movies and series. I have since transitioned into a full-time freelance translator/subtitle editor/transcriber.

I have worked with clients in media, theology, medicine, education, NGOs, conservation, human rights, legal, marketing and IT fields.
