In response to Hurricane Irma, Translators without Borders is calling for English<>Haitian Creole volunteer translators to be on standby to support humanitarian and rescue teams on the ground if needed.
Please email [email protected] if you can contribute and would like to be part of an online rapid-response team to translate materials. The texts are mostly rescue messages, official announcements regarding resources, routs, available services, situation reports, etc.
Translators without Borders is the biggest volunteer community of translators endeavoring to provide easy to access and free information to local communities and for humanitarian causes. If you are also interested in playing a part in a pro-bono opportunity, don't hesitate to contact them for more information.
