I answered other because I spend about half of my time working at my desk in my office ( I assume that's what is meant by "dedicated workspace") and half the time sitting in an armchair in the living room with a laptop.
I've found that changing work areas relieves some of the boredom involved with long translations and gives me a different perspective on my work.

It keeps the concentration going, especially for long translations
During heat waves in summer, I may go down a storey or 2, and take my laptop along, but I am not as quick and/or efficient then - heat? unusual environment?

Normally I work on a laptop on the sofa in the living room. Sometimes I switch to the dining room. Occasionally I'll put the laptop on the worksurface in the kitchen. Even more occasionally I'll work in my husband's office.

The rear corner of my living room/kitchen, which serves as my office. I can look to my right out of the window onto the garden with its lemon, olive, loquat and eucalyptus trees, or left to the kitchen so I can see the kettle boil, or swivel round and see the TV, fireplace and main door.
If I need a change of scene, I can wander outside and there is always something needing pruned, swept, dug, raked, watered or sawn up.

I usually work at different places in my appartment (at my desk, in the sofa...), but also go pretty often in a café with my laptop.

I hate not to work on my desktop computer and my two monitors. If I really have to (working during holidays, working at other places) I work at my laptop, but I could not handle it all of the time.
Right not my computer is in the far left corner of the living room, but I hope to have my own home office soon.

Just like Interlangue, my dedicated workspace also helps me stay focus. But the main reason is productivity: my workspace us where I use my multiple monitors, which increase my productivity. Several studies have found a dramatic increase in it with 2 and 3 monitor set-ups. Just one month ago I wrote a blog post about multiple monitors and productivity for translators.
This is what I wrote about my set-up:
My set-up includes my laptop’s 15-inch monitor (for dictionaries, glossaries and QA sheets for localization projects), a 19-inch monitor (for Thunderbird, Firefox sometimes, source files and project guides) and a 24-inch monitor which I use for my main application which is SDL Studio but I also use it with Firefox. Most of the times I don’t need the third 15-inch monitor, but when I do, having multiple monitors noticeably increases my productivity and improves the quality of my projects in less time. And for us translators and freelancers, it’s all about productivity and quality.

However, working from a cafe or some other place every once in a while helps with routine.

This space sounds really nice. It makes working at home sound downright heavenly!

I currently work at my desk in our bedroom in the flat I share with my OH.
We are in the process of buying a house and I will have a dedicated office space in the office/spare room of our new house
Cant wait!

I'm currently traveling and working from the road. My girlfriend and I bought a small RV and have taken the show on the road. Literally paying for the trip as we go. It's been very challenging, especially in terms of balancing work and play, but when the job is done I'm still doing what I love, traveling - seeing and experiencing new things. We decided to leave the Pacific Northwest to escape the winter and are currently in Tuscon, AZ en route to Mexico where we'll be until the end of April. The... I tend to work on the living room sofa or at any of several local coffeehouses. When I'm on the road, I work from hotels, friends or relatives' homes, or (again) coffeehouses.

I have my desk/workspace (I live in a small place) and then will take the laptop to the sofa when my rear end starts falling asleep...lol
the RV trip sounds fun except for the raw food. Sushi and sashimi are about as raw as it gets for me (aside from vegetables of course).

I have a comfortable office in my home totally dedicated to my computer works, with desktop computer I fully customized for translation.
However, it appears many of my colleagues are using laptop and quite mobile
Maybe I need a bit more little mobility, even within my own home

i like the mobility but when it's cold out, i'm not inclined to packup the laptop and go to the coffee house...and there are lots of distractions there.
These days i've liked working with the olympics in the background...
