I have a laptop, because sometimes I stay away for long periods, so it is easier. But, I have a room in my flat, which is only for me = "access denied to everybody!!"- Joking! Actually I have a CD-player, my desk with my translations (yes some are on a paper format), printer, fax, books (my favourite books), my pool (when I need a break, I play for 10 mins) and obviously my laptop. My office is a downstairs bedroom in my house. It has 3 desks arranged in U-shaped form with two all-in-one desktop computers each with 22-inch monitors, a laser duplex B&W printer, an inkjet color printer, fax machine, etc., flanked by several matching file cabinets. The best part is the bookshelves: my companion made 6 three-shelf units that hang on the wall over my workspaces. Without leaving my chair, I can reach up and pull down my hardcopy dictionaries.
