No need to take a break Jun 14, 2018

I work before noon, and the matches are on afternoons. So no need to take breaks for watching football.

No Jun 14, 2018

It does not interest me, at the most I might sometimes check who has won.

BTW: Interesting to note that most translators are not interested in football.

Of course Jun 14, 2018

I'm an Argentinian living in Uruguay.
The TV will always be on during match times, and I will definitely not be working during the two hours for each of the six first round matches that interest me the most (Argentina/Uruguay).
Too bad this time my husband will be at his office and my son will be at school, otherwise World Cup games are a family affair. Luckily, Argentina's first game is on Saturday, so yay!

Yes Jun 14, 2018

It’s more a case of whether I plan to take breaks from the World Cup to do some work!

Other Jun 15, 2018

If I have no work, I'll likely watch some games.
But I can always leave the TV on and when someone screams "GOOOOAL" I'll go and watch it (the goal only).

Yes and No Jun 15, 2018

I might watch the highlights, semi-finals and final, if I have the time. I enjoy watching a good game (more likely later towards the end of the tournament) but I'm not fanatical about it.
I'd rather go out with the family and play with my adorable little granddaughter.

but I think it's more a matter of those who like football are too busy watching to spend time on Proz
