Hallo everybody,
For months I have been looking for a decent job in Vienna, where I would love to move to, but apparently the job market is stuck! Can any native \"vom wundervollen Wien\" give me any suggestion?? Internet resources, phone numbers, small hints... Anything will be more than welcome! Finding a job in Vienna is not easy at all, especially considering the current market situation.
You could buy the saturday \"Kurier\", as it always comes out with a special huge section with job offers.
Finding an accomodation is not that complicated. The city is safe and public transportation very well developed (no need for a car, generally speaking).

Spoken German differs from standard German: it is not only a question of pronunciation, but of spoken dialect. Ordering a coffee and getting what you thought you had ordered is the evidence that Vienna is yours (just joking).

thank you for your time! I know Vienna quite well (I lived there for 2 years as a student at the local Dolmetschinstitut) and I agree with both of you: Vienna is a pleasant and safe place to live!! In fact, it is my favourite place in the world and - although I lived in other European cities such as London, Amsterdam and now Milan - I have never felt so at home as in the beautiful 12th district (where I lived most of the time)!
