Education and conference interpreting programme
The decision I made in 2007 to enroll in Conference Interpreting Programme at my alma mater was by far the best decision I have ever made with regard to my formal education. The two year very intense course taught me the intricacies of consecutive, simultanous, and community interpreting. Everything from voice control (getting rid of those pesky huh, erm, um) working with a microphone, body language, memorizing up to 6 minutes of speech without the help of note-taking, handling numbers and names, as well as mastering the art of symbol note-takingfor consecutive interpreters proved to be useful in my everyday work. With such a strong background I started building my portfolio which you can read below.

Thanks to the Conference Interpreting Programme I had an opportunity to do the simultaneous and consecutive interpreting in the following subjects and fields:

- consecutive interpreting (medicine, patient care, rehabilitation) of lectures delivered by foreign speakers during International Huntington's Disease Meeting (voluntary work);
- simultaneous interpreting (LNG terminal, interpretation of Polish Prime Minister's speech) during laying of the foundation stone for the construction of LNG port in Świnoujście; (letter of recommendation upon request)
- simultaneous interpreting (medicine, gynaecology, obstetrics)
of 3 lectures covering the following topics: the use of surgical robots, Misgav Ladach method for cesarean section (lecture delivered by the author of the method), WHO recommendations on the safety of surgical procedures;
