I am a certified freelance translator with Master’s degree in Translation
Studies from The University of Sheffield. My areas of expertise include
Environment and Energy, Life sciences and Social science, however I am also
competent in areas of Agriculture, Forestry, Health Care, NGO's and Charities
and Government and Politics.
I am trained to use several CAT tools such SDL Trados, Wordfast or
MemoQ, however my tool of choice is SDL Studio 2017. Throughout my studies I
have also received in-depth training in desktop publishing (DTP), localisation
software (OmegaT, CatsCradle, Kompozer),
machine translation and proofreading.
I excel in environments that command attention
to detail, utilising effective organisation and communication to carry out the
job. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Biology and Conservation and a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Climate
Change
Currently translation online articles for TalkingDrugs website managed by Release - an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
Experience also in polish translation for social science PhD research project; Translating research documents for use in interview and survey methods; Advising on the differences in
expressions of different cultures and languages to ensure the correct meanings
of survey questions are translated.
