I have been doing subtitling for almost a year now (after a long pause). I actually like it because I get to watch movies that are often still playing in the theaters. I have been doing subtitling for almost a year now (after a long pause). I actually like it because I get to watch movies that are often still playing in the theaters. There are also other reasons why I like it, one of them being the challenge to fit the sentences into the allotted time and some other constraints that you don't usually have when translating a regular text. Nevertheless, there also he downfalls that I may share during the conference. My language pairs can be in the emerging markets. Of course, demands are rising but translation rates decline as rapidly as translation quality. Subtitling is the last market segment I prefer to enter, hmmm.
