@ Daryo Thank goodness you've explained, I totally agree with your analysis of the source text here.
Daryo Aug 19, 2018:
there are here 3 categories of information:

- Sensitive

- Highly Confidential

- Encryption Class

IOW HERE

"Encryption Class Information" means information that is categorised as being of the "Encryption Class" type/level of confidentiality.

it's NOT about giving information about the "class of encryption" that was used to encrypt some other data -

which could be the intended meaning in some other context, but not in this ST.

Tony M Aug 19, 2018:
@ Asker In case it helps, the parsing here is clearly 'information' that needs to be included in the 'Encryption Class' — i.e. it would appear, information that is less crucial than the higher-security classes mentioned, but still important enough to require encryption.

Possibly useful?

It seems that ISO 27001 version 2013 deals with these kinds of issues, and as ISO standards are always bilingual, this might with any luck give you some pointers in terminology concerning the classification of different levels of data.

agree Daryo : good idea, although most of these standards are not freely available - you have to buy them! It's like selling texts of laws, mais passons ...

Thanks, Daryo! I'm lucky to have access to a huge library of them, but not this one; there are many illegal copies circulating on the 'Net.
