It depends Apr 1, 2011

On the cause and the spare time I might have available, which is currently negligible.

Yes but...It also depends! Apr 1, 2011

It depends on the amount of work I have. Sometimes I am fully booked and cannot volunteer...

Yes Apr 1, 2011

I already have assisted with the website translation for a NPO for which I'm also doing multiple other things, e. g. help them to raise both funds and awareness of their cause.

And I'm planning on continuing to work with them, time permitting.

Depends... Apr 1, 2011

I have already volunteer to some small translating jobs but I also work with one NGO and I accepted to take big loads of works with a remuneration cut by three. For exemple, at the moment I'm working on a three weeks project (90.000 words within this timeframe....) so it ensures a minimum income while I cannot take any other project.
I also volunteer according to my schedule, when I have a few days availability, I think it can help to develop a network and NGO are always in need.

yes I would love to.. Apr 2, 2011

Once I was contacted by a Church for a piece of passage to be translated in HINDI, and I did it....It was a good experience as I don't know much about the Holy Bible ....but that passage talked about The gift of GOD in the shape of Mother Nature....and was a beautiful piece...

It was only after this, I added Religion to my fields of Interest and later I did many jobs in this field some free and some paid also..

For me Apr 2, 2011

humanitarian causes are in the first place to love my next: to respect my parents, care my children, assist my husband, help my sister with her autistic son...

I would be a hypocrite if I worked in a humanitarian organization while ignoring the needs of my next.
