Hallo!
I am a German - English translator from India. I work freelance from home. I have been working in this field for almost one year. Within this time span I have translated more than 1000 pages (approx.4,00,000 words).

I am graduate in sociology. Also, I have Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science. I learned German from Max-Mueller Bhavan, Goethe Institut, Kolkata, India. I worked as a librarian at this institue also. My experience also includes teaching German at a Management Institute and at a College (Gujrati Education Society College).

Though I have done translations of technical documents only, mainly for the companies like Siemens Informations Systems Ltd., Eurotherm Hema Engineering Radiators Pvt. Ltd. etc. I am equally interested in doing translations on the subjects like social sciences, art & culture, films or any other arts subjects.
Again, I would like to mention that as my mother tongue is Bengali I am equally keen to get some English-Bengali translation jobs of any kind.
