I am translating since 1991 - primarily for the English - French language pair and presently for the English-Bengali language pair - hence I am well aware of what it takes to be a language professional.

I have studied Hindi, French, Tamil, German and Sanskrit in school as well as in my under graduate years which gives me the uncanny knack to feel the nuances of each language that is on offer...

I realized I can work with Bengali to the best of my capacity having the indigenous feel for the language as it is my mother tongue.

I have a first division in applied linguistics from the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies, University of Hyderabad, India and have graduated in English Literature from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, Pondicherry, India.

Writing is my passion and languages a second nature. I am a Reporter/Senior Assistant News Editor with an English language busniess daily. I have also worked as a news editor for a Bangla (Bengali) news channel for more than three years.
