Bio
Hello! I’m Julian, an English language specialist working in translation (ZH>EN), localization, and proofreading. My areas of expertise include psychology, user experience (UX), and culturally sensitive language (LGBTQ+, disability, mental health).

As the US-born child of Chinese immigrants, I interweave the local context and expertise of a native English speaker with an intimate understanding of Chinese cultural heritage. I’m committed to creating accurate, high-quality and culturally appropriate translations from Mandarin to English.

I received my Bachelor's in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley with an emphasis on psychology. Prior to working as a freelance translator, I gained experience working in user experience (UX), copywriting, and English teaching and proofreading services.
