I am currently in the South West of England and I do get translating and interpreting offers quite regularly from various translation agencies in the UK and around the world. I worked in a variety of capacities beginning as a linguistic assistant in producing a Pashto Dictionary in 2004. I then assumed more responsible roles as an anthropological and ethnographic research assistant. For seven consecutive years I worked full time as a translator, translating religious books especially the Bible. I have also taught Pashto to foreign students and worked as an interpreter and translator for several international aid/relief agencies and International Peace Forces in Afghanistan. I have a good command of Arabic and Persian but am fluent and articulate in English, Urdu and Pashto.
I possess excellent computer skills and have a very high level of speed typing with accuracy,  I acquired experience voiceovers, proofreading and editing texts. I have an acute and in depth knowledge of both the language and culture of the Pashtun people, in particular that of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Afghanistan which is an invaluable asset for both instigating and consolidating interviews with the local people. I am both resourceful and proficient in conducting surveys and reporting the collected findings.
