ProZ.com powwow: Informal networking

June 12, 2010, 3:00 pm
United KingdomNottinghamIn personEnglish
Informal networking with a friendly group of fellow translators and interpreters from Nottingham and beyond. Come and join us!

The venue will be the Canalhouse pub, which is very close to the main bus and train stations. This unique, spacious pub serves food, local real ale and has outdoor seating if it's sunny.

There is no special format for the event, just a chance to chat and share ideas and experiences on a Saturday afternoon. Partners and friends are also more than welcome.

Start time will be 2 pm, hopefully this will give would-be attendees from further afield more time to make travel connections home.

Due to the brewer now having to attend a beer festival (fancy that!), the proposed Castle Rock brewery tour will now take place at a later date.

The address for the Canalhouse is:
48-52 Canal Street
Nottingham NG1 7EH
Tel.: 0115 955 5011

This is sure to be a great chance to meet colleagues and friends, old and new, from the translation world and beyond.

I look forward to seeing you on 12 June.

Cheers!

Stephen (a.k.a. Languageman)

The pub is the issue Jun 12, 2010

I just called the Canalhouse. As long as it is warm and not raining, she is welcome, but she may not come inside...
We'll have to see if things work out.

A shame not to see you Dierk and your young lady Jun 14, 2010

Hi Dierk, was a real shame not to see you, was a lovely day. I suppose they're worried about them toddling into the canal?! Will bear this in mind when choosing a venue next time.
