"Вдохновившись" I would not translate as "inspired" in this case. I think in this situation it should sound something like this: "empowered by the God's Grace ..."

: "favour"/"favor" it is. Nothing fits better here, for "blessing" would've been “благословение“. As for "benevolent", He is (at least supposed to be!) benevolent to all!(while, it appears, favouring some more than others over their mutual killing) :)))

God’s (favorable) disposition
an apparent allusion to the expression "man supposes, while God disposes." Disposition, as Providence, can work both ways, that's why I'm adding "favorable," as suggested by the context.
