has consolidated its position in its key areas of business

Ever in search of more expressive verbs.

And Russian plural "позиции" almost always comes out better as singular in English, in contexts like this one.

"Presence," suggested by rns, would also be good. But I like "consolidate" for the verb.

From Webster's - examples of the "consolidate" as "strengthen" definition, quoted below under Wendy's comment.

Examples for 2a:
"consolidate their hold on first place"
"consolidate the economic power of an empire with great merchant fleets"

For 2b:
"condemnation of Italy ... consolidated Italian-American support for Il Duce"
"consolidate his reputation"

In all of those cases, "consolidate" is a synonym of "strengthen," and means to take something which exists, and make it stronger. But, I think "has consolidated its position/presence" sounds better in English than "has strengthened its position/presence."

Thanks, Callum.
neutral Wendy Cummings : not sure about consolidate, as for me this means more "confirm an already existing position" rather than make it stronger

Thanks for commenting, Wendy. Webster's: 2a : to make firm or secure : strengthen, confirm (example above in Note). 2b : to make stronger or more secure. Smirnitsky for "укрепить": 1. (в разн. знач) strengthen; (о власти, положении, и т.п.) consolidate.
