The purely descriptive "highly extracted" might be interpreted as a defect (over-extraction). A value judgement like "superbly" is probably better here.

Over-extraction is a fault; "alto rango estrattivo" is obviously a compliment, referring to "how" the wine was extracted, not just "how much".

i believe 'estrattivo' refers to the flavour the wine gains from the barrels in which it is aged
