falle might be "breakdown factors". Hence "flaw" as "breakdown factor". "The coating breakdown factor describes the extent of current density reduction due to the application of a coating. The value fc = 0 means the coating is 100% electrically insulating, whereas a value of fc = 1 implies that the coating cannot provide any protection. "una o più falle di rivestimento interne funzionali ad una misura della densità di corrente di protezione"? You need the defects to measure the density of the current?
