Italian term

illitico

Italian to English Science Mining & Minerals / Gems potash feldspar
Hi,
I'm translating a document about mining which is out of my usual field of expertise. The context is:
I can't find illitico anywhere. I found something about "illithic" meaning "bad stone" but nothing more.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

The Nature of Illite
THE NAME illite was proposed by Grim, Bray and Bradley in 1937 for the
mica-type mineral occurring in argillaceous sediments. It was specifically
stated that "the term is not proposed as a specific mineral name, but as a general term for the clay mineral constituent of argillaceous sediments
belonging to the mica group".

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks to all of you. I went for this in the end as there was a table that I hadn't seen further down in the document with this translation already in it! That will teach me to look through things more carefully!"
