Italian term
abitare
Italian to English
Other
Furniture / Household Appliances
Grazie

: Sorry, I don't like 'home-living' - it doesn't sound like English to me - I'm from the UK.

Comment: "è stato molto difficile (e la soluzione non mi soddisfa al 100%) ma in questo caso ho optato x home living (dato anche il numero di hits su google con siti molto simili a quello del cliente). grazie"

the human habitat
Seems to have been used as a buzzword in the trade.

Nobody seems to like (human) habitat :-(
"Habitat" is frequently used by architects and designers to refer to a dwelling for humans. The not exactly unknown English designer Terrence Conran liked it enough to use it as a name for his retail stores in UK and France. (I used to have one near me in Antibes, but it went out of business and was replaced by a Leroy-Merlin).
Anyway, if you don't like "habitat" then here are a few more proposals:
living space
home furnishing
home design
home decoration
the art of making a home
Besides, I would say you have other challenges if this must sound English. How do you plan to translate laboratorio estetico and globalità? "Research" may not be the best translation of ricerche in this context either. You should probably rephrase completely.

Note from asker:
Yes, you got it! This is for sure not a straightforward phrase to translate. Thanks for your other options. I have already rephrased. I just have to make a choice on this "abitare" :-) |

home decor, ergonomics and aesthetics
This need not necessarily be the final translation: I'm simply suggesting you clarify the concept itself, which in any case is not clear in Italian. Whether you clarify the point with the client woyld be up to you, I suppose. I would not attempt to find the closest possible term in English: it seems pointless.
