Ore was extracted first by sub-level stoping and then by open face method. Excavation of the ore body I started from level 1030 to the adit I level (988). Further mining activities were carried out on the sublevels 987, 977 and 961. Ore was mined until the end of the mining operation. In 1982, the roof of the deposit caved into the open chambers, leaving a 'crater' of some 120 meters width and over 60 meters depth, still visible at the surface today.
