Hello, my name is José Matos, I'm a native Portuguese speaker and a professional translator, proofreader, and transcriber.

I started with the best job possible: Revising other people's translations, proofreading and editing.
I consider those tasks to be fundamental to my professional development, and taught me a lot about what makes for good (and bad) translations.

A year later I quit. Personal projects drew me away from this field, and I learned some new things.
After tying up loose ends I decided to come back, observant and diligent as ever.

At the end of the day, what matters is this:

- There can be no grammar mistakes or typos;
- Translations must be accurate and perfectly adapted to fit the target language.
