Spanish term

"Despistaje n.pulmón subyacente"

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) Pneumonology
Hello again,

This appears in the final diagnosis. If I'm not mistaken, Despistaje means Screening, but I'm a bit thrown off by the pulmón subyacente (to what?) and also that "n.", don't know if it's a typo?

A million thanks in advance!

the other possibility for "n" = enfermedad
there are loads of hits for "enfermedad pulmonar subyacente".
liz askew Oct 12, 2014:
They must be talking about screening/assessing the area of the lung next to the bulla. No mention of tumours in your context, only infection, so I would steer clear of "neoplasia". n could = nivel

Diagnosis Hi everyone, thanks so much for taking the time for this. The full sentence is "infección pulmonar. Nivel hidroaereo en bulla apical derecha. Bulla infectada. Despistaje n.pulmón subyacente.
Joseph Tein Oct 11, 2014:
More context No ... it's better to include the complete sentence, not just "subyacente" which by itself would be extremely vague and hard to place. Still hard to know whether subyacente applies to the pulmón or to this mysterious "n." The more context and background information you provide, the better ... such as, in this case, the patient's symptoms and/or diagnosis. This is in each question; don't expect that people will have read any previous question you may have posted.
Muriel Vasconcellos Oct 11, 2014:
More context? Is there any other surrounding text? What you've posted doesn't make sense by itself.
Lulian (asker) Oct 11, 2014:
Sorry I realize I wrote the whole phrase when I should have just written "Subyacente" as that was my question. I can't seem to edit it properly, my apologies
