Percorso poco impegnativo nel territorio di Arcevia, una sorta di zona cuscinetto tra la collina e il monte, cui si fondono le caratteristiche ambientali e sociali della campagna e dell’Appennino. Si toccano i pittoreschi borghi fortificati di Palazzo e Caudino, ma anche contrade anonime e isolate come Camarano e Capoggi, minuscole comunità che non si sono mai spopolate del tutto.
non mi piace 'district', né 'village' (che uso per 'borgo'), 'borough' o 'hamlet' (quest'ultimo, tra l'altro, lo uso più in là nel testo per 'frazione') - lasciarlo così, 'contrade'? però non siamo a Siena, dove sarebbe giustificato, ma nella campagna marchigiana...

what many of you miss is that these places are inhabited! Even if by few people, so it cannot be, commune (sorry desertfox), or countryside or landscape. These are tiny little towns with people in them!
