It's dealing with a CUG (closed user group). The idea is that if you have a PABX with direct-dial in, then if you just include the root number of the PABX (e.g. 02/12345) in the CUG, then you can still direct-dial an extension (e.g. 02/12345999 for extension 999) and the call is considered part of the CUG.
But what is ___selezione passante___ in English?
