"tocco" is something chunky or a hunk.
It is also used for cheese and bread - un tocco di pane, a hunk of bread

agree giogi : un chunk di 300grammi mi sembra un po' eccesivo...non è spezzatino. Fillet è un pezzo un po' più grosso.

Sorry, but I don't agree with a "slab of meat". The whole idea is for it to be "chunky"
