Clearly you cannot decorate an ambience! So I would suggest refashioning the sentence altogether, which I am sure is what you plan!
How about something like:
By furnishing/decorating our rooms with beautiful objects from the past we have created ambiences of varying kinds throughout the hotel (or whatever it is)

Thank you, Lesley, for the points and the kind comment - that picks me up amid the packing cases surrounding me!!

Note from asker:
but can I use "ambience" in English in the plural? What do you think? |

Lonnie Legg
: ambiance (ambience) is a quality--to improve the German (see Helen), I'd talk about the concrete spaces/places and their qualities/adornments.

IMO the ambiance can be created and therefore inspired but I would rewrite the sentence.

Helen Shiner
: Clearly you are on to the same thing as me, so agree with that, of course, but to me 'atmospheric spaces' sounds a bit too ethereal.

: With Helen -- a space can have an atmosphere in the figurative sense, but 'atmospheric spaces' sounds like something in the sky or New Age mysticism
