Law (general)
Legal Abbreviation (Child Custody Hearing)
I am translating an Austrian court ruling on a custody dispute.
Parenthetical reference notes, of which the above is a generic example, come up again and again.
I suspect that the "Z" in "ZV" has something to do with "Zeugen" as the persons mentioned are invariably witnesses. (maybe something synonymous with Zeugenaussage, but peculiar to Austrian German?)
I cannot guess, and have not been able to discover what legal term or phrase the abbreviation "ZV" stands for.
