German term

Strafvollstreckungskammer

German to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Taken from documents relating to the parole of an offender. The document is explaining the reasons why parole was granted:

"Zu einer entsprechenden Einschätzung kommt das von der Strafvollstreckungskammer bereits in einem früheren Überprüfungsverfahren eingeholte psychologische Gutachten."

I understand this to be the court responsible for enforcing the sentence, but don't know what the term would be for this court in British English.

Court for the Execution of Prison Sentences

I would definitely retain the German term and add a loose translation in brackets. Your own "constituted chamber of the district court responsible for correctional matters" would also work.

Prison law
as a reform topic separate from the procedure of the execution of court judgements. While the execution or enforcement of a criminal sentence (and other court decisions) should be entrusted to the office of the public prosecutor, the
prison and prison administration pose different legal questions. Therefore, it should also be considered to establish a separate judicial body that deals exclusively with cases emerging from the prison environment (rights and duties of prisoners). Examples are the —juge dexecution des peines“ in France or the

Note from asker:
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not sure parole board is right here. I've found the following further references online: The application for judicial review of this decision was refused by the specially constituted chamber of the district court responsible for correctional matters (Strafvollstreckungskammer des Landgerichts). The appellate court held, however, that the inmate must be permitted to retain a complete copy of the file in his cell After about 10 years of imprisonment, a specialised chamber (technical term in German: "Strafvollstreckungskammer") of the criminal court which is responsible for the case sets a recommended minimum term to be served depending on the individual characteristics of the crime, in other words, a minimum time which is deemed just and appropriate for the gravity of the crime. Release of a prisoner on parole requires (1) that this minimum time is served and (2) that a psychological expert opinion finds no further dangerousness for this prisoner and a positive social prognosis.

disagree Kim Metzger : Did you even read your reference? The Strafvollstreckungskammer is responsible for execution of sentences, not prosecution.
