Nevertheless, in this case I would rather call it interior matching fixture or matching/inspection fixture for the (car's) interior.

@ Bernd Bernd, I don't question your judgment, but I think metal matching occurs mainly on the outer fixture. The inner fixture is a walk-in thing where you check the dimensions of interior trim like door panels, dashboards, and stuff like that. I was also looking for a generic term, but IMHO, meisterbock applies only to Witte fixturing. From what I gather, it's a trademark. But it's an interesting topic, regardless.
