Dry-out förekommer i en handbok för en synkrongenerator i avsnittet om rengöring av lindningar och isolation:

Subsequently the unit must be dried out using one of the schedules specified in Section 6 – Drying out the Insulation. Great care must be taken to keep the rate of temperature rise down to the 2 to 3 K per hour specified otherwise 'blowing' of the insulation may occur. During the dry-out the insulation resistance and polarisation index values should be monitored as laid down in Section 6 – Drying out the Insulation.

Man ska alltså torka isolationen men är det någon speciell term som ska användas för någon speciell process? Som till exempel torrkokning?

During the dry-out...: Under torkningen, eller Under torrkokningen?
