English to Portuguese Medical Genetics Chromosomal abnormalities

Context:
A documentary about rare genetic diseases:

"There were abnormalities on the 9th chromosome. Doctors told them that XXX would be born with 9p Minus Syndrome, a genetic disorder that is extremely rare."

I am not sure if this could be translated as "Monossomia 9". This is just a guess.
