Hi,

We filed a non-payment report regarding an EU-based outsourcer on March 18
and the ProZ.com staff member assigned to the case is, after a brief initial
pro-forma acknowledgment, not responding.

How can we make sure that our non-payment report is taken seriously by ProZ.com?

Cheers.

I think the “investigation” by ProZ may take up to a month. Had some similar cases before, all resolved eventually.

I must say that every time I had a non-payment issue, Proz staff has always been very helpful. Have you sent all the data regarding your non-payment issue?

No, as they haven't requested any. I can obviously only submit the details if they ask for them.

Thank you for your commitment. High-quality work was delivered on time, was never questioned by the customer, and billed in line with the agreed source word rate, and two polite reminders were sent, leaving sufficient time in between reminders. The word count billed can be inferred from the manually formatted Word file we made, which is a 100% accurate reproduction of the original source file. I can also currently not discern any formal mistake in my dunning procedures. The customer is not insolvent and has indicated that they are able to pay. The contractually agreed payment deadline is fair for the outsourcer.

Is there really nothing that can be done about it?

Best regards,

Sebastian

Busy department? Mar 25

Perhaps staff are struggling to process a deluge of similar requests? Given the times we're living and working in, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Proz.com staff refuse to make visible our negative Blue Board entry. Freelance translators have no rights! Still awaiting the payment.
