Proofreading website online - how not to omit something

Dear colleagues,

I have to proofread a rather big part of a website sure with a lot of hyperlinks, dropdown fields etc. Sometimes it's hard to find out where the actual website ends. How can I be sure not to omit some parts of it when switching forward and back. Is there some best practice or a tool which can help me?


I tried to download this particular part of the website, but it didn't work out with Teleport.

As mentioned in a few other recent threads, it's really best to INSIST that you get the source files from the customer.

Otherwise, how could you even send your corrections back to them so that they can be implemented? I can't even imagine how awkward it would be to send corrections without having the source files... how do you even tell them where things need to be fixed/changed?

You can use Google to find every page on the web site. Just type (without the quotation marks and with the correct domain):

"site:thewebsite.com"

Google will list all pages hosted in that web site. But Lori's right, you need to have the source files to compare, or at least know which pages you should proofread, because Google will list ALL pages, whether you worked on them or not.
