Source text - German Für die automatisierte Einrichtung von PCs mittels Stapelverarbeitung ohne Benutzereingaben kann eine fensterlose (silent) Installation mittels einer NCP-eigenen Funktion angestoßen werden. Anstatt für jede neue Version der Client Software eine neue "Setup.iss" (Mechanismus von Installshield) zu erstellen, kann die automatisierte Installation mit Hilfe der Datei "SetupExt.ini" vordefiniert werden.
Über diese INI-Datei können die Setup-Einstellungen vorbestimmt werden. (Die Parameter der "SetupExt.ini" sind in der Datei "SetupExt.txt" beschrieben.) Werden keine Installations-Optionen vorgegeben, so wird die Installation mit den Standard-Optionen durchgeführt.
Zur Silent-Installation können zudem Log-Ausgaben mitgeschrieben werden. Dazu wird der Log-Path z. B. wie folgt in der INI-Datei angegeben:
LogPath = C:\Programme\NCP\SecureClient
Im angegebenen Pfad wird die Datei "Setup.log" angelegt, die die Log-Ausgaben aufnimmt.
Die Silent-Installation wird angestoßen, sobald die Datei Setup.exe im Verzeichnis "Disk1" (auch über Batch) ausgeführt wird und die Datei "SetupExt.ini" nach (Verzeichnis) "Disk1" kopiert wurde.
Translation - English For the automated PC routine for batch processing without user inputs, one can install a silent, windowless program with an NCP-specific function. Instead of having to use a „setup.iss“ for every new version of client software (protocol from Installshield), the automated installation can be predefined with the help of the program „SetupExt.ini.“
